NEW Student Registration

KINDERGARTEN:  Each spring, the Maryville City School district holds a Kindergarten Registration Day.   Early registration provides the schools with a "best estimate" as to the number of new students to expect in the fall so that classrooms can be adequately staffed and prepared to meet the needs of each student when school starts.
Kindergarten registration for the 2019-20 School Year is set for MAY 3, 2019, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, at your zoned elementary school.  If you missed the May registration for new kindergarten students, please join all new students in grades 1-12 on either July 25 or August 1.

STUDENTS IN GRADES 1-12:   In July before school starts, families can expect at least one and more recently "two" opportunities for registration.  Check the school calendar or call the school or district office if you do not see early registration dates listed.

2019-20 DATES:  Early bird registration is July 25 (8am - noon).  The other opportunity is August 1 (during regular hours for the school's office).  Call your zoned school for more information.

Tennessee Law (TCA 49-6-201) has changed to reflect new requirements related to the age cut-off for entering kindergarten.  Section three (3) states, "Children entering kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before August 31 for the 2013-2014 school year and on or before August 15 for all school years thereafter".
