Kindergarten Readiness

Families wishing to register a NEW kindergarten student should link here.

If you child was enrolled in a Maryville City Schools pre-K during the 2019-20 school year, you are considered a "returning" student and will be notified via email about that process.

If you wish to apply as a tuition student, you must have final approval from the district office before you can start the registration process.

Appointments are now being scheduled for CHILD FIND in the Maryville City Schools’ district.  Child Find is the process of locating, identifying, and evaluating children who are suspected of having a disability.

Parents or guardians who have concerns about the developmental progress of a child between 36 to 60 months may wish to participate in a screening event scheduled from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2019.  This screening opportunity will take place in the Maryville City Schools Early Intervention Center located on the John Sevier Elementary School campus.

Children who are suspected of having a delay or disability can be referred for a possible evaluation at no cost to determine if they are eligible for special education services.  Early Childhood Special Education is a state and federally mandated program for children ages three through five who are experiencing challenges in their learning and development and meet eligibility criteria for special education and related services.
