2019 LB Youth Leadership award goes to MHS senior EMILY MORGAN

Congratulations to MHS senior EMILY MORGAN who will receive the 2019 Youth Leadership award from Leadership Blount on April 9th.

Blount Partnership CEO Bryan Daniels will be the recipient of this year's Community Leadership award.

Morgan is a senior at Maryville High School and serves as president of the Model United Nation Delegation, member of the student council, editor in chief of the yearbook, member of the ethics team and member of the DEBs service club.

She has also been recognized as a Maryville Scholar and member of National Honors and Spanish Honors societies. Outside of school, Morgan has served for four years on Blount County Youth Court, five years as a varsity coxswain and team captain for East Tennessee Rowing, and has been elected president of Tennessee’s Student Congress on Policies on Education. She is also an alumni of Youth Leadership Blount 2017. She enjoys volunteering at Community Food Connection and working with English-Second-Language elementary school students during her spare time. She has plans to attend college this fall.
