2016 Device Deployment

All CGIS students (and parents) need to attend Device Deployment at MHS this summer.  (6th and 7th graders--- to receive your laptop, you must take your sleeve and charger with you to deployment.)
If you have already signed up for a Deployment time, but you need to double-check it or change it, click on the Deployment Sigh-Up link above and then click on "Find My Sign-up" at the top.

Welcome to the Grove!

At CGIS, we want our students to develop a deep love for reading and become lifelong readers and learners.  To encourage this, we are holding an AR Summer Reading Challenge!

Any student who reads and tests over the summer will have his or her name entered in a drawing for a gently loved Kindle Fire and other amazing prizes!  The more points a student earns, the more chances he or she has to win!  Also, all students who take a quiz will enjoy a Reading Celebration Lunch when we return from Summer Break.

Only CGIS students who are currently in grades 4-6 will be able to check out books from our library. However, any student from any MCS school may take AR quizzes at any site. The schedule for check out and AR quizzing is below, and can also be found on the district calendar.  Just like throughout the school year, students may test on books they checkout from our library, as well as books they get from home, purchase, or checkout from the public library. This summer you may read books at any level. You do not have to choose books within your ZPD.

Please note that points earned over the summer cannot be used toward point goals during the school year, and a book can only be tested on once.  If your student would rather read this summer and wait to take tests once school starts, then those points can be used toward their Quarter 1 goal.
Coulter Grove will be open on Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m.  Students may keep books until July 11th.  All CGIS materials will be collected on that date.
